Cummins 5.9L 24V and 6.7L – 1998-Current – DK Head Stud Kit
These studs are designed to ensure the proper sealant between the cylinder head, head gasket, and cylinder block. The stock design used bolts that would eventually lead to blown head gaskets and other issues due to the fact that the bolts would be pushed beyond their limitations. Studs are used to tighten the seal and also restrict the amount of stretching and twisting of the studs by acting as a clamp instead of a bolt.
Our 5.9L 24v and 6.7L studs have an ultimate tensile strength of more than 210,000 psi compared to leading brands rated at 200,000.
