Our pistons are designed based on OE specifications for the Duramax LLY, LBZ, and LMM engines and include various oversize options. Please check the specifics below to ensure the correct pistons are ordered. If you have questions, please give us a call.
This product listing contains the following part(s) for the GM Duramax applications:
- Pistons x 8 (4 Left Bank, 4 Right Bank)
- Ring Sets x 8
- Wrist Pins x 8
- Piston Clips x 16
Please verify the engine before purchasing:
- Engines with a single CYLINDRICAL EGR Cooler are identified as an LLY or LBZ. Some LLY engines take different pistons. Please check the year model and if the original pistons have the GRAPHITED COATING. The GRAPHITED Pistons are our LLY/LBZ/LMM pistons. LMM engines are identified by a single RECTANGULAR EGR Cooler, and these are the pistons.
- If the injectors are UNDER the valve cover or the engine is an LLY and the Pistons do not have a GRAPHITED coating, use the LB7 Pistons here.
- All LML engines are identified by having two EGR Coolers. If the engine has two EGR Coolers, the pistons are located here.
